Very pretty. Did you design it?
Thank you, Melanie! Yes, I designed it.
I’d love it if you’d tell us more about it, like what inspired you, why you chose the colors you did, how you chose half-square triangles as the basis, etc. I love “process” stories. :)
I find that I post less and less since I share the process through Instagram as I go … it seems that the less words, the more likely I am to actually post here as well! I used solids just because that’s my favorite. I’ve just done a king size and queen size quilt, and again, they haven’t been posted here. (But I shared heavily on IG.) I’m just a huge fan of solid colors and half square triangles. I just never get tired of the look. This time I threw in stars and loved it so much, I’ll likely be doing that over and over again, too.
Yes, it’s terrific.
Thanks! :D
Looks amazing! There’s an iridescent quality with light and dark of the solids you chose :)
Thanks, Christina! I was hoping the darker purples would look like dark land or even water under the sky. Whether it actually looks like that or not, I like it!
Beautiful! The stars really make it shine!
Thank you, Pam! I fell in love with using stars with HSTs — especially the little corner stars!
Lovely!!! I’m never drawn to solids in store but maybe I should give it a go!!
