We’ve noticed that as Diego has grown up, his markings have gotten much darker. His love of quilts, however, remains unchanged.

That’s amazing – I didn’t know their markings could change so significantly. He looks like a different cat!
We didn’t realize how drastically he’d changed until I looked at his baby pictures! He’s from the shelter so we don’t know his background, but his markings are Siamese. (None of the rest of his litter looked Siamese, they were tabbies with one black and white.) I’ve been told his fur will likely continue to darken as he ages, as Siamese cats do. So strange to adopt a cream colored kitten and end up with a dark cat!
