Small Notebook Pouch

Kids grow so fast!  For a recent trip, we hired my younger daughter’s friend to be our pet sitter.  How did they grow so quickly that I could hire one of my younger daughter’s friends?!  (I won’t be able to wrap my mind around it in the space of one post, so I’ll just move on.)

Since she’s a family friend, I didn’t want to just pay her, I also wanted to give her a little thank you gift.  She likes all things Japanese and has always been a great writer, so I made her this little pouch from Japanese chrysanthemum patterned fabric.  The edges of the flowers are metallic, so pretty!  Inside is a small notebook and …
