Little Penguin Gift Bags

01 Dec

Fun Fabrics

I visited my Mom over Thanksgiving and she took me to her local fabric store.  I bought the flower fabric for a project she helped me with (you’ll see it later) but the bulls in boxer shorts and penguins in toboggans were purchased just because they were too cute to pass up.

I decided to make a gift bag from a small canvas bag that was the perfect size to hold one Snowball Soap, maybe as a gift for an adorable little neighbor.  I made a simple snow scene out of felt and stitched it to the bag.

Then I cut a penguin from the flannel and stitched him on, too.

Perfect!  Now to figure out what to do with those bulls in boxer shorts …

And a late addition, because I thought I had this post set to publish tomorrow:

Girlie Penguin Gift Bag

There.  I just hated to think she’d feel left out.

I’m really going now.

Do you mind sharing the name of the flowery heart fabric at the top? I’m been searching and searching for the PERFECT fabric to make my baby girls bedding and havent been able to find anything that is just perfect. I really love that and was hoping you knew the name of it. Thanks so much.

Hi Casey! Sorry, I don’t know the name, but it’s a flannel and I bought it at JoAnn Fabrics about 8 months ago. I peeked at their website and didn’t see it, but if you went to JoAnn’s I bet someone there would know. Good luck, I hope you find it!
